January: Nothing. Loser.
February:
Austin Marathon: 4:58:19 (PR)
Besides my marriage and my kids, I am more proud of this moment than any other in my life. I fought through 5 surgeries to train for this marathon and I finished it SMILING!
March:
Running a half marathon just 1 month after my first marathon was a lot of fun. I was there to have fun and see a new city and not necessarily race. It was a great time.
My first triathlon of the season and it reminded me how much I love triathlons.
Dukes and Daisies 5K: 29:41
May:
Just barely missed my personal record, but was happy for a "speedy" run, my first since my accident.
June:
Flamingo 5k (Nicholas' First 5k): 32:52
A moment I will never forget, my son's first 5K and he kicked butt!
Maudie's Moonlight Margarita Run, June 2011 (5K with Nicholas): 35:39
100 degrees plus evening run. It was hot, I ran with Julie and hopefully helped lift her spirits.
Lake Pfulgerville Triathlon (Sprint Distance: 500M swim, 14 mile bike, 3 mile run): 1:52:06
OMG the wind this day made everything a challenge. This was a TOUGH race for me, but I loved it anyway.
Butler YMCA Triathlon (Super Sprint: 440 yard swim, 7 mile bike, 3.1 mile run): 1:15:36
July:
Lake Latonka Friendly Frolic 2 Miler: 24:16
Running with my sister and my niece, quite possibly one of my favorite races of the year.
Best triathlon of the year. I felt at ease and I felt strong. LOVED it and loved doing a race with my friend Tracey.
IBM Uptown Classic 10K: 58:05 (PR)
August: Nothing, it's a tad hot in Texas
September: See August above
October:
This was probably my favorite race. I loved being there with my friends, it was a new distance and I ran super speedy (for me).
Run for the Water 10 Miler: 2:07:56
Ran/Walked with my friend Julie and we had a great time along the way.
This was a horrible race, it was so hot and things went terribly wrong, but I can't be mad about finishing my second marathon.
Decker Challenge Half Marathon: 2:14:43
Oh this is a favorite too. I just love this race. It was cool, but not too cool. I love the mix of hills and flats. I ran this race all alone and LOVE LOVE LOVE this race.
December:
Lights of Love 5K (first 5K with Ella) right around 54ish minutes
Running a 5K with my 6 year old daughter was AH-MAZ-ING! I love that girl and she inspires me!

So there you have it, 14 races in 12 months. My wallet is a little lighter, but my head and heart are filled with some AWESOME memories. Looking back at all these races, I'm proud of each and every one of them for different reasons. I'm not sure I can top these 14 races again, but I'm going to try and I hope you'll be here to follow along.
