Today was Jack's art show at his preschool.
The teachers have been collecting their favorite pieces done throughout the year and they were on display for all the parents to see. It was really a site to see and it was very special.
Each cild was given an "award" for their best piece in the show. Jack's was his dinosaur.
He was extremely proud of it. It was great to see Jack so happy in a school setting. He really didn't act shy at all.
He had a great time taking everyone around and showing them all his art pieces.
After the art show portion of the evening the kids did a little Where the Wild Things Are reenactment. Jack was a wild thing. Appropriate!
Next they sang and I couldn't believe Jack actually participated. Again, he didn't seem shy at all.
I mean he wasn't a ham like some of the kids, but he was completely comfortable and happy up there singing and doing the "moves".
As we watched, I couldn't help but think this was my VERY LAST preschool event. How can that be? How can I be through with that phase of my life? It went waaaaaaay waaaaaaay too quickly.
I feel very lucky to have found Myschool Preschool and Miss Cindy (Jack's teacher). She really is amazing and brought so much out of Jack this year. Jack is always full of information and I'll ask him where he learned "that". His reply is always, "Miss Cindy." Finally one day he said to me, "Mom, learn everything from Miss Cindy."
I'm so proud of Jack and everything he has accomplished this year in preschool. He has grown and learned so much and yes it was due, in part, to the fabulous Miss Cindy!
