I had a great Mother's day that started off with the Race for the Cure (breast cancer walk), but that deserves a post all it's own (so I will do that tomorrow).
When I got home from the "race" the kids were all hiding and then popped out to say surprise. They were so excited to give me their gifts (as always) and they did NOT disappoint (as always).
Apparently Jack knew EXACTLY what he wanted to buy me. George had told me a couple of days ago that Jack told him precisely what he wanted and he took him right to get it. Of course I was intrigued and wondered what he picked.
I never dreamed it would be a pink sports bra. Good job Jackie!
Ella was equally excited, but nervous that I wouldn't like her gift. I wasn't worried. I know she knows me.
Really it's the cards I love the most. They spend so much time making them and Ella wrote me a really sweet note this year. She said I was her "most favorite mama." Well I should hope so! Ha!
Anyway, she got me a pair of pink Coach flip flops. What's not to love?
I'm not sure what Nicholas and I are laughing at in this picture, but I really love it. I love this boy so much and I love to see him so genuinely happy!
As you can tell, I was VERY excited about my gift. It was a new beverage dispenser. Mine was really cheap and old and I saw this one at Sam's Club. Nicholas remembered. He's a good egg.
I love the pic he drew of me. He could have made a little skinnier. What?
Today, and every day I feel so blessed to be the mother of these three wonderful kids. I am truly feel like being their mom is a gift and really the only one I need. All the stuff is just a bonus.
I'm also blessed by the best husband. He bought me a brand new camera (an upgrade) and pampered me with a steak and crab leg homemade dinner. Oh and I napped and didn't lift a finger all day. Thanks Georgie! Love you!
An absolutely perfect day!
