Tracey and Nate invited us up the their camp this weekend in Kane, PA. Kane is a VERY small town in the middle of nowhere, PA. Tracey and Nate have 5 acres of property and a 3 bedroom house. It was the PERFECT place to spend a couple of days. COUNTRY living. My boys were in their element in all the nature and with their toys.
Nicholas rode George's quad that he got when he was 12 years old. That was in 1985 and it's still in GREAT condition. George's dad takes such good care of everything and NEVER gets rid of anything. Thankfully so, because Nicholas loved this thing.
This is George's new toy. A LOT different in 2013 than in 1985.
To Nicholas, however, the old 1985 was good enough and he had a ball.
They all took rides on the big Can-am though.
I even drove a lap or two.
Jack really wanted to drive so Nate got out the little 50 cc quad with the leash on the back.
Jack got the hang of it right away and graduated from the leash. He must have ridden this thing for HOURS!
Not to be outdone, Ella took a turn too.
There were so many "toys" there, I couldn't get over it.
Not even ALL of them |
He took instruction a lot better from Nate and he got a hang of it right away. I think he was pretty proud of himself.
As if all these toys weren't enough, Nate put up a zip line for the kids. You could hang...
or sit.
Or try not to drag your feet on the ground. Ha!
Eventually Ella got brave and did the hanging version.
Somehow I missed Jack on the zip line, but I caught him in the bounce house, which by the way, was a HUGE hit among the kids. Who knew kids could bounce for HOURS!
This is just the tip of the iceberg on the fun we had. Stay tuned for Part II tomorrow.
