Anyway, one of my Facebook friends posted this Pin and I knew immediately I HAD to make it. I mean seriously how cute it this wreath?
My Finished Product
I took all my ideas from the women of The Pinterest Project. What a fabulous job they did on this wreath! Thanks for the inspiration ladies.
Here is what you'll need to make this wreath:
- Drill
- Wire Cutters
- Coat Hanger
- Baseballs
- Ribbon
First gather your baseballs. We used a mix of Nicholas' awarded game balls and regular hitting balls. I wound of using 12 of the 14 pictured.
Next straighten your coat hanger and clip of the "little hookie part". Then start drilling your baseballs. You can also have your husband do it, like I did.
I'm not very handy with power tools so I elected to have George help me with this part. It seemed fairly easy, however, and just takes some finesse to wiggle the hanger through drilled holes. I had a picture of this part, but my camera ate it.
Once you've strung the baseballs not the wire, create two loops at each end and join them together like so.
I made little bow for mine to match Nicholas' current little league team (The Braves). I tried to buy baseball ribbon, but my local "super store" was out. I think the baseball ribbon would make it cute and you wouldn't have to worry when you're child's on a new team next year. Oh well, this looks cute too and I can change it out at any time.
Nicolas wanted to display his game balls in his room, so I let him hang it on HIS door. It's also a good place to hang his hat when he's not using it. Win Win!
Another successful Pinterest project? I think so! Feel free to Pin it with the Pin it button below. Next up? Hockey pucks!
