Ok truth be told there were 5 Pinterest projects in the pictures. One was an epic failure so I didn't mention it, but I want to show you NOT ALL things translated.

Yeah you see that dispenser of purple punch? The theory behind this punch was that the sugar content of each liquid would cause them to divide out. Red Hawiian punch on the bottom, Blue Gatorade in the middle and Diet Sprite on top. Clearly it did NOT work. Hmph! The kids LOVED the punch however, so it was STILL a big hit.

I loved, loved, loved this simple idea. I already had the jar so this project cost me about $6 and it was very cute. I don't think anyone else appreciated it as much as I, but oh well. It did it to make ME happy.

There isn't actually a tutorial on the original pin that shows you how to make the paper pinwheels, but I was able to find a Youtube video and figure out how to make them. VERY easily I might add. You'll be seeing these pinwheels again in other party themes.

Clearly I could have done a better job on this. I didn't do good at the whole layering thing. I took a much more haphazard approach, but I was still VERY pleased with the result. Everyone loved this dessert and it was just so easy. I didn't make a "cream" either as the original pin suggested. I simply used whipped cream. It was a lot quicker and easier and I'm all about quick and easy.

Even though this looks like it would be super hard it wasn't at all. That's why I loved the pin in the first place. Something that looks so great can be so easy (it just takes a little time). Ella's hair is very thin so it's clearly not as awesome as the "pin model's" but I just love the way it looks.
So there you have it folks. Pinterest can translate in to real life. You just can't be afraid to try (or fail for that matter). Things don't always turn out EXACTLY as you had planned, but they'll still be great and I, for one, had fun trying.
What Pinterest Projects have you tried? Did they translate in real life?
