I spent the evening working on this project for Jack's preschool class so I figured this post deserved a reblog. Besides it's my most viewed post this week so I figure people must be super interested in this craft. And they should be because it's EASY and CUTE. My fave! Enjoy!
Today I bring to you Reindeer hot cocoa cones. I've seen this on the internet before, but was reminded of the idea via Pinterest. I thought they'd make a cute "gift" for Jack to give to his little preschool friends and so the creating began.
How to Make a Reindeer Hot Cocoa Cone
What you'll need:
- 12 inch icing bags
- goggly eyes
- red pom pom
- brown pipe cleaners
- hot cocoa mix
- marshmallows
- mini chocolate chips
- glue (not pictured)
- tags
Start with your piping bag and add 1/2 cup cocoa mix.
Top with a handful (or two depending on how big your hands are) of marshmallows.
Sprinkle a few mini chocolate chips
Add a little tag. I have Printshop software that I used to make these, but you could easily use gift tags or make your own. Here is what they say:
I punched a hole in the corner and used the brown pipe cleaner to tie the top of the icing bag, bending to create "antlers".
Glue on eyes and pom pom nose (I used just regular school glue and it worked fine).
And there you have it a little treat to share with the "tiny" friends in your life.
Jack had a great time making these and he's beyond excited to give them to his friends. Do I detect a smirk?
